Cynthia contacted me a few weeks ago to photograph her Portland high school senior session just in time for the yearbook deadline. She’ll be graduating with from Riverdale High School with the class of 2016 and it was pretty exciting to hear her plans for her future.
And so we walked [hiked] down to the river [while almost breaking our ankles] to find a beautiful scenery to capture her natural beauty. I may be patting myself in the back here, but I do believe this one could grace the cover of Vogue.
Cynthia was super amazing and didn’t mind me telling her over and over again how excited I was during the whole session. Because seriously, when each image from the back of your camera looks like this, you can’t help but get excited.I did warn Cynthia about my “creepy close” tactics. It does tend to create some amazing headshots for her portraits. Her second outfit was a little more relaxed which is an absolutely great contrast to her previous outfit. So I tried finding a little spot where the leaves had fallen (yay fall!). Perfection.I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this shot. And then we hiked back down to the river and walked down as far as we could to the edge to do this. And Cynthia followed it by rocking the rest of the session.Thank you so much Cynthia for hanging out with me for that long while walking up and down that crazy steep trail. You are an absolutely beautiful person inside and out and I can only imagine what you have in store for the world.
