There are a couple of things I love about being a wedding photographer: not only do I get to work with people who are jumping for joy in love, but I get to tell their story. However, most of the time, after the wedding we tend to part ways and I always wonder how they’re doing. I dream that they’re still holding hands as they walk next to each other and giving each other a tremendous amount of googley eye time. Yes, I may have just made up a word. But it’s a good one!
So I absolutely ecstatic whenever I get to do another shoot with my couples, which is why I love anniversary sessions as well as holiday photos. So enter Ben & Rebecca.
I photographed Ben & Rebecca this past May at the West End Ballroom in Portland, you can see their blog post here. Since then, they moved up to Seattle and are still exploring their new home. A few weeks ago they drove down to visit family, and we set a date to meet for some holiday couple portraits at Cathedral Park.
So excited to say that Rebecca is as cute as ever, and Ben still has that spark in his eye when he looks at his gorgeous bride.
We ended up just walking around the park, dodging the bright sun as most Portlanders do and found the perfect setting under the St. Johns bridge.
And as we walked, I found the perfect light and photographed the bejesus out of Ben & Rebecca as they held each other ridiculously tight. 😀
Seriously, I obsess.
Thank you so much Ben & Rebecca for hanging out with me. I hope to see that spark in each other’s eyes over and over again!
